Downloading Teamviewer Quicksupport
The TeamViewer QuickSupport is an app that is also being used by vCloud's Technical Support team to access and view the user's machines - similar to the normal Teamviewer software, the only difference is that the quicksupport version does not require installation of the app. vCloud had this option intended for users that does not prefer installing the actual teamviewer app and users that will be needing support on their home / personal non business devices. This version is also used for mobile phones and tablets.
TeamViewer QuickSupport was designed for exactly that: quick support. QuickSupport enables a support technician to remotely access, remotely control, and remotely view your computer or mobile device for fast troubleshooting. No installation of TeamViewer is required for QuickSupport. Just follow these easy steps:
Go to this link : https://get.teamviewer.com/vcausupport-qs
It will automatically take you to this page (shown below), and will automatically start downloading the QuickSupport app:
After the file is downloaded, click the downloaded file to initialize the TeamViewer QuickSupport app (if you're not able to locate the file after it has downloaded on the browser, check the downloads folder)
After the app is done initializing, you will see a small pop up window like this :
Next step is share YOUR ID and PASSWORD codes to the Support person and he/she will be able to take control and access your device.
After the support session, no need to uninstall as the app will terminate once closed.
NOTE
once you close / end Teamviwer Quicksupport session, the technician won't have access to your machine unless you share YOUR ID and the PASSWORD again
for Apple IOS users, Technicians won't have the ability to control your device, viewing only. The Technician can only walk you through on configuring your device
for Android users, Technicians can fully control your device once the session has been initiated.
